...Cadena restaurant was founded in 1985 in Zagreb , but its tradition dates back to 1970 when Mr. Branko Bolanča began working in the hospitality industry. In the beginning Cadena was a fish restaurant, but in 1990 the restaurant diversified and started offering Italian and Continental culinary specialties. The restaurant is located only a few kilometers south from Zagreb Fair. The establishment consists of an a' la carte restaurant with an extensive wine list for gourmet guests, a spaghetteria for younger guests and a dance hall for wedding receptions and other music festivities.

It should be noted that Cadena has received several recognitions.
In 1987 during the World University Games Cadena received The Best Catering Establishment Award. That year Cadena also received "Big Star Vecernjaka" award. In 1990 "AS" magazine ranked Cadena among the top 10 restaurants. In the last couple of years: Cadena has received "Three Vecernji stars " award for the year 2001, it has been included in The Best 100 Restaurants of Croatia Club in 2001 and 2002and has just recently found its place in the book "Dobri hrvatski restorani" (Good Croatian Restaurants) published by "Vecernji list" newspaper for the year 2003.

The restaurant has its own parking area which is of great importance for wedding receptions which have become Cadena's specialty. In a newly decorated space, designed to accommodate up to 250 guests, we can organize cocktail-parties, graduation ceremonies, exhibitions, fashion-shows, birthday celebrations, and baptismal fetes. On Fridays and Saturdays you can dance to live music performed by famous entertainers.
